Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has sharply criticized the eating habits of President-elect Donald Trump, calling his fast-food diet “really bad” and likening it to “poison.” In a recent interview, Kennedy, who has been tipped for the role of food safety czar in Trump’s upcoming administration, revealed concerns about the president-elect’s dietary choices.
Kennedy, known for his advocacy on environmental issues and health, shared his thoughts during a conversation on The Joe Polish Show. He explained that the food Trump consumed while campaigning was far from healthy, with his fast-food staples, including KFC and McDonald’s, receiving particular condemnation.
“The stuff that he eats is really, like, bad,” Kennedy said. “Campaign food is always bad, but the food that goes onto that airplane is, like, just poison.” He elaborated that Trump’s choices were limited to KFC or Big Macs when traveling, adding that other available options were “kind of inedible.”
Trump’s fast-food order is widely known, typically consisting of two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches, and a chocolate milkshake. The president-elect has also been photographed eating KFC fried chicken with a knife and fork while aboard a private jet during the 2016 campaign.
Kennedy also pointed to Trump’s beverage choices, noting that the president-elect is a consistent consumer of Diet Coke. He recalled a conversation with UFC President Dana White, who claimed to have never seen Trump drink a glass of water.
Kennedy, who initially pursued a presidential run before endorsing Trump, has been widely rumored to be in line for a key role in the new administration, with many speculating that he will take on the position of food safety czar. Despite this, Kennedy’s comments highlight ongoing concerns about Trump’s approach to diet and health, which have become topics of public discussion throughout his political career.
