The latest food hygiene ratings for Basingstoke’s restaurants, cafes, takeaways, and other food establishments have been released, with several businesses receiving high marks.
Environmental health officers from Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council have been conducting inspections over the past two weeks to ensure that local businesses are adhering to hygiene standards. These inspections are carried out in accordance with guidelines set by the Food Standards Agency, focusing on cleanliness, food safety management procedures, and the hygiene of food handling practices.
Food establishments are rated on a scale from five to zero, with five indicating the highest level of cleanliness and compliance.
Several businesses in Basingstoke have been awarded the top rating of 5 – Very Good:
- Heavenly Desserts Basingstoke, located at Unit R1a, Festival Place, received a rating of 5 on Wednesday, February 12.
- La Vo Patisserie, also at Festival Place, earned a rating of 5 on Wednesday, February 12.
- St Peters Day Nursery, located on Pinkerton Road, received a 5 on Friday, February 7.
- The Crown Old Basing, situated at The Crown Inn on The Street, RG24 7BW, was rated 5 on Tuesday, February 11.
- Udarii, located at 143 Kenilworth Road, Basingstoke, earned a rating of 5 on Wednesday, February 12.
