A woman confronted a teenage boy on an MRT train after he allegedly spilled a Mixue drink, but the teen denied responsibility.
The incident occurred on February 21 at around 4:45 p.m. on a train traveling from Punggol. Stomper Jane, who witnessed the event, shared her account of the situation.
“When I boarded the train, I noticed a teen with a Mixue cup on the floor and a spoon left on the MRT seat,” Jane recalled. “He was seen wiping himself with tissue due to the spill.”
As the train neared Sengkang station, the boy attempted to leave without cleaning up the mess. Jane confronted him, urging him to take responsibility for the spill. However, the teen denied being the one who caused it. His friend chastised him for his behavior, prompting the friend to pick up the cup and spoon before they both left the train at Sengkang.
A photo shared by Jane shows remnants of the drink on the seat and floor, though the cup and spoon were later removed by the boy’s friend.
It is important to note that eating and drinking on MRT trains and stations is prohibited under the Rapid Transit Systems Act. Offenders can face fines of up to $500.
