SINGAPORE – The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has issued recalls for two food products after detecting undeclared milk, a known allergen, in their ingredients.
In a statement on March 1, the agency announced that Happy Family Oatmeal Cookies (200g) contained milk that was not disclosed on its packaging. The importer, C M M Marketing Management, has been directed to recall the affected product.
A similar issue was identified two days earlier in Supremely Gourmet Premium Dark Chocolate (96g). The importer, Redmart, has also been instructed to withdraw the product from sale.
The recalls are currently ongoing. While milk does not pose a general food safety risk, it can be harmful to individuals with milk allergies or lactose intolerance.
According to Singapore’s Food Regulations, all food products containing allergens such as milk must clearly state them on their packaging labels to safeguard consumers with food sensitivities.
