Nearly 30,000 pounds (about 15 tons) of Chomps Original Beef Sticks have been recalled due to possible metal contamination, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced. The recall was issued after two consumers reported finding metal pieces in the product.

The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has classified this as a Class I recall—the most serious level—meaning there is a reasonable chance the product could cause serious harm or death if consumed.
What Should Consumers Do?
- Do not eat the recalled beef sticks.
- Throw them away or return to the store for a refund.
- Check packaging for matching lot codes and expiration dates.
So far, no injuries have been confirmed. However, anyone with health concerns should contact a doctor immediately.
