Burger King is mixing two fan favorites with its latest frozen beverage, but not all customers are thrilled with the combination. The new drink, available in strawberry and “blue razz” flavors, is topped with an unexpected twist: Nerds candy.
Food blogger Markie_devo, who first shared the news, revealed that the drinks have already been spotted in Pennsylvania and Kentucky, with the possibility of a nationwide release soon. According to the influencer, who credited a Burger King employee for the tip, the drinks are expected to hit more locations soon.
Excited fans quickly took to social media to share their thoughts. “Now this makes me want to go to BK,” wrote one fan, while another exclaimed, “Yum!” Some even commented on how they had just missed out on the new offering, with one person writing, “Are you kidding??? I just left BK!” Others chimed in from various locations, including South Carolina, confirming sightings of the drink.
However, not everyone is sold on the idea. Some expressed disappointment, saying they would rather head to Sonic for a slush, while others questioned the drink’s originality, with one comment reading, “So it’s just slush with Nerds thrown on top? I could just throw $1.25 Nerds on top.”
The mixed reactions continued on Reddit, where some fans questioned the addition of Nerds to an already existing frozen strawberry drink. Others voiced a desire for Burger King to bring back the Mac ‘n Cheetos, a limited-time item featuring deep-fried macaroni and cheese with a crunchy coating.
