Preble County’s annual Mass Food Distribution event is set to take place today, with the aim of providing essential food assistance to community members facing food insecurity. Organized by The Foodbank in collaboration with CareSource partners, this event offers a crucial lifeline to individuals and families in need.
Michelle Riley, CEO of The Foodbank, emphasized the significance of this event, stating, “The Preble County Mass Food Distribution is an annual event where our Foodbank team and CareSource partners distribute fresh food directly to those who lack food security.” She highlighted the impact of inflation on household food budgets, which has led to an increased need for emergency food assistance over extended periods.
The distribution will take place from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. today, located on South Franklin Street in Eaton. To ensure a smooth process and to accommodate all those in need, organizers have requested that attendees refrain from arriving before 9 a.m.
The event serves as a critical resource for individuals and families grappling with food insecurity, offering them access to fresh food during challenging times. The Preble County Mass Food Distribution underscores the ongoing commitment to supporting the community’s most vulnerable members and addressing their nutritional needs.
