This food and beverage manufacturer and supplier, known for its commitment to natural, organic, and clean label products, is set to become a part of SK Capital Partners. While the financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed, the deal is slated to be finalized by the end of the year.
Established in 1899, J&K Ingredients distinguished itself by offering customized formulation and new product development capabilities that emphasize quality, function, and compliance. The company made significant contributions to the food industry, including the creation of Bred-Mate, the first natural mold inhibitor for the bakery sector over four decades ago, and the launch of SOR-Mate in 2019, which served as the first high efficacy clean label alternative to potassium sorbate for various product categories, such as beverages, snacks, pet food, and dairy. Furthermore, J&K provides the bakery market with a comprehensive range of specialty ingredients, including egg and milk replacements, emulsions, flavors, and bread bases. The company is currently under the ownership of CORE Industrial Partners.
