In a high-level meeting held on Wednesday, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, accompanied by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and other senior officials, undertook a comprehensive review of the country’s pivotal agricultural projects. The discussions centered on ensuring essential utilities and services for ongoing initiatives across Egypt’s diverse regions.
Among the key projects under scrutiny were ‘Egypt’s Future’ in the New Delta, agricultural ventures in Fayoum, Minya, and Beni Suef, the Sanabel Sonno project in Aswan, and the Dakhla project in southern Egypt.
Presidential Spokesperson Ahmed Fahmy highlighted, “The President underscored the imperative of sustaining and enhancing the successful outcomes achieved by these projects.”
These initiatives align with the government’s strategic objectives of expanding agricultural areas, safeguarding food security amidst global uncertainties, and fostering national income growth. The government’s aim is to ensure the availability of high-quality agricultural products in local markets at reasonable prices while boosting exports.
In attendance at the meeting were Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, along with Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy; Hani Sewilam, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation; Amir Syed Ahmed, Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning; Ahmed Al-Azazy, Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, and Bahaa Ghanam, CEO of Egypt’s Future Agency for Sustainable Development.
