The World Food Programme (WFP) has significantly stepped up aid efforts in Haiti, where close to 10,000 hot meals were distributed to about 5,000 displaced individuals in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area over Monday and Tuesday. According to a deputy spokesperson, WFP is transitioning from hot meals to cash-based transfers for the displaced population.
