HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 19 June 2024 – The Food Expo PRO and Hong Kong International Tea Fair, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will take place from 15 to 17 August 2024 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. These concurrent events will feature a diverse array of global foods, beverages, teas, and related products, providing a comprehensive sourcing platform for F&B importers, wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, department stores, and e-tailers. The fairs will be open exclusively to trade buyers on the first two days and to public ticket-holders on 17 August. Alongside these, the public fairs – Food Expo, Beauty & Wellness Expo, and Home Delights Expo – will run from 15 to 19 August at the same venue, collectively hosting around 2,000 exhibitors.
Food Expo PRO: A Premier F&B Trade Event
Food Expo PRO continues to be a pivotal event in the F&B sector, presenting pavilions from various countries and regions. This year’s expo will feature pavilions from Mainland China, Japan, Korea, Mexico, and ASEAN countries including Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines, creating an international culinary festival. The expo will emphasize sustainable diets with a “Food Science and Technology” zone showcasing alternative and future food products. Additionally, the “Halal Food & Beverage” section will highlight the growing market for halal products.
The ready-meals market will also be spotlighted, featuring a variety of easy-to-prepare meals from exhibitors across Mainland China. Regions such as Fujian, Guizhou, Hunan, Sichuan, and Zhejiang will present their local delicacies to professional buyers.

Hong Kong International Tea Fair: Brewing Business Opportunities
The Hong Kong International Tea Fair will showcase a wide variety of teas, tea-related products, and tea ware. The 1st International Tea Event Space Design Competition 2024 aims to promote tea culture by featuring creative tea-serving space designs, which will be displayed and judged during the fair. Another highlight is the Hong Kong International Tea Competition, where exhibitors’ teas will be judged in six categories: Green Tea, Oolong Tea, Black Tea (Orthodox), Chinese Black Tea (Treated Pu’er), Raw Pu’er, and Others (White Tea/Yellow Tea/Scented Tea). Awards will be given for “The Best Aroma” and “The Best Taste,” with free tea tastings available on 17 August.
To celebrate Hong Kong-style milk tea, the International and Greater Bay Area KamCha Competition – Final will be held during the fair, showcasing the skills of top tea masters.
Each day of the fair will be filled with activities and events. The 1st Hong Kong International Tea Culture Forum on 16 August will provide an international platform for promoting tea culture and industry development. Other events include tea tasting sessions and international tea art performances.
EXHIBITION+ Model and Additional Events
The fairs will continue using the HKTDC’s EXHIBITION+ model, which blends online and offline interactions through the Click2Match smart business platform, available to participants from 8 to 24 August.
Additionally, the International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM) will be held on 15 and 16 August. Organized by the Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association (MCMIA), HKTDC, and eleven scientific research institutions and industry associations, the conference will provide professional insights into the traditional Chinese medicine industry.
