A 37-year-old woman was arrested after an alleged chopper attack at a cooked food stall in People’s Park Complex, which left two men hospitalized on Wednesday evening (Mar 19).
According to the police, they were alerted to the incident at around 8:45 p.m. at the complex, located at 1 Park Road. The two men, aged 41 and 30, were conscious when taken to the hospital, while a third man, aged 42, sustained minor injuries but declined medical attention after being assessed by the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
Authorities seized a chopper as evidence and arrested the woman for voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon.
At the scene, Chinese news outlet 8World reported that the stall’s front and the adjacent alley were cordoned off. The floor near the counter was marked with blood stains, some of which had been covered with paper towels. Plastic bags, food container lids, and cardboard boxes were scattered across the floor.
A middle-aged man was seen with a police officer in the shop, pointing out the bloodstains as he described the incident.
The police confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
