In March 2025, Nestlé initiated a voluntary recall of several Lean Cuisine and Stouffer’s frozen meals. The recall was triggered by the discovery of possible wood – like material in specific batches of the products. The affected items were manufactured between August 2024 and March 2025 and distributed nationwide from September 2024 to March 2025.
Recalled Products
The recall encompasses the following items:
- Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli
- Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Ravioli
- Lean Cuisine Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry
- Stouffer’s Party Size Chicken Lasagna (96 oz)
No other products under the Lean Cuisine or Stouffer’s brands are affected.

What to Do If You Have Recalled Meals
If consumers have purchased the recalled products, they should take the following actions:
- Do not consume the affected products.
- Dispose of them or return them to the store for a refund.
- For any questions, contact Nestlé at (800) 681 – 1676.
Nestlé is collaborating with the USDA to look into this issue. So far, no injuries have been reported.
