Warheads is introducing a new candy that promises to deliver an entirely different experience for sour candy lovers. The brand’s latest release, Warheads Atomic Fizz, combines the classic extreme sour flavor with an unexpected fizzy center.
According to a press release, the new candy features a unique recipe that blends “sodium bicarbonate with acid,” creating a fizzy explosion inside each hard candy. The candies are individually wrapped in packaging that prominently displays the Warheads logo and a caution label.
Warheads Atomic Fizz is available in five bold, sour flavors: blue raspberry, watermelon, black cherry, green apple, and lemon. The candy offers a multi-layered experience, starting with an extreme sour coating, followed by a sweet fruity taste, and finishing with a fizzy burst in the center.
Lindsay Karlin, Vice President of Marketing and Development at Impact Confections, the U.S.-based supplier of Warheads, shared in a statement, “Eating Warheads Atomic Fizz takes you on a journey from the Extreme Sour coating, through the sweet fruity candy, ending with a fizzy explosion in the center.”
To celebrate the launch, Warheads plans to release a series of “explosive” videos on social media. The brand will mark key sales milestones—250,000, 375,000, and 500,000 units sold—by staging controlled “explosions” of its mascot, Wally. These events will take place at a secure desert location, with videos shared on Warheads’ Instagram and TikTok channels.
Warheads Atomic Fizz is now available in 1.48-ounce reclosable plastic containers at major retailers such as Walmart and Amazon.
