Utz is launching two exciting new flavors of its iconic Cheese Balls this spring, one of which comes from a collaboration with Mike’s Hot Honey.
The century-old snack brand announced that it has partnered once again with Mike’s Hot Honey for a limited-edition flavor, following the success of their previous collaborations, including Utz Mike’s Hot Honey Chips and Utz Mixed Mini Pretzels with Mike’s Hot Honey.
Starting this month, Utz will debut Utz Cheese Pizza Mike’s Hot Honey Cheese Balls, a new take on the classic cheese-flavored puffed corn snack. According to a press release, this new variety combines the sweet-heat flavor of Mike’s Hot Honey with Utz’s Cheese Balls, marking the third installment in the brands’ ongoing partnership.
Mike Kurtz, founder of Mike’s Hot Honey, explained, “The flavor combo started with pizza, where we first realized how perfectly our hot honey pairs with cheese. After our successful collaborations on chips and pretzels, it felt natural to evolve this flavor into Cheese Balls for a unique snacking experience.”
Alongside the Mike’s Hot Honey collaboration, Utz is also introducing Red Hot Cheese Balls, described as a bold new flavor that delivers a spicy twist on the classic snack.
Both new flavors will be available nationwide from now through October, or while supplies last, at major retailers such as Walmart, Kroger, Harris Teeter, and Amazon. Shoppers will also notice a re-designed 14.5-ounce barrel, offering a “fresh new look” while maintaining the same familiar size.
