Josera to Unveil New Pet Food Plant in Poland by 2025
German pet food producer Josera, part of the Erbacher food family, is accelerating its investment efforts to establish a state-of-the-art plant in Paproć, located in Poland’s western region of Wielkopolska. This facility, dedicated to the production of dry pet food, is slated for inauguration in 2025, according to a report from the local news site, Pnt.info.pl.
Polish construction firm PTB Nickel Ltd is spearheading the construction project, with an estimated value of approximately PLN 278 million ($64.2 million). Once completed, this undertaking will significantly expand the company’s existing pet food production capabilities. The manufacturing center in Paproć is strategically located about 125 kilometers from the German-Polish border.
Josera boasts a diverse product range encompassing wet and dry pet food for both dogs and cats, along with pet treats and accessories, among other offerings. The company underlines that a substantial portion of its revenues is generated through exports. The firm markets its pet food products under the brands of Josera, Josidog, and Josicat.
Erbacher, the parent company of Josera, emphasizes its global presence, with operations spanning approximately 70 countries across the world. Its facilities in Germany, Poland, Ukraine, and Tanzania collectively employ a workforce exceeding 800 employees. This expansion in Poland marks a significant milestone in the Erbacher group’s continued growth strategy.
