A recent study has unveiled the fastest fast-food drive-thru experience, with Taco Bell emerging as the reigning champion.
According to the annual drive-thru report by QRS Magazine, Taco Bell offers the swiftest drive-thru service in the industry. Patrons who opt to remain in their vehicles while ordering from this Mexican-inspired food chain experience an average wait time of 278.84 seconds, equivalent to just four minutes. Remarkably, this marks the third consecutive year in which Taco Bell has claimed the top spot in the annual rankings.
Securing second and third place were Carl’s Jr. and KFC, with customers waiting for their orders for 303.74 seconds and 303.95 seconds, respectively.
Taco Bell also emerged as the chain boasting the fastest speed of service, with an impressive average time of 205.35 seconds. Meanwhile, Carl’s Jr. clinched the title for the business with the shortest wait time, boasting an average of just 37.39 seconds.
The study meticulously assessed the time required for guests to place their orders at the drive-thru windows of major fast-food establishments and the duration it took for them to receive their food. QRS conducted the 2023 report over the span of June to July, examining a total of 1,491 different U.S. locations.
